Sweet Baby Shoes......I have always loved collecting vintage baby clothes, shoes and accessories. I love the tiny size of the items and the feeling of nostalgia that waves over me. They are more often than not made by very loving hands and have a quality about them that is missing today......
I love the little tiny baby shoes meant for little tiny toes and feet and cannot pass by a pair of mint condition felt baby shoes. These nearly always have pretty embroidery on the toes and beautiful silky laces......
On my latest downsizing foray I came across my final stash of these wonderful little shoes. These are my final five pairs, and yes I did have more than five pairs. I loved nothing more than stuffing them with tissue paper and decorating them with vintage forget me nots. All of my shoes date from about the 1940s and are in near mint condition. Most have their original little baby shoe box with them which makes them very special indeed. It is so hard to find these delicate felt shoes in unused condition and these have been collected over a number of years......
I am finally letting these beauties go and I love the thought that they will grace someone else's home. Perhaps sitting on a pile of vintage children's books or on a beautiful etched mirror. What ever way they are used and displayed I know that they will be loved and appreciated......

Maureen, I love these sweet shoes, too. I have a felt pair that I wore as a baby. A moth has eaten a tiny hole in one of the toes of the shoe. I still love them though because of their sweetness. I hope you have a blessed Easter, dear friend! Vicki
