I am about to divulge one of my favorite secret must have's.......... drum roll here!!!

Susan Arnot hand crafted decorations!

I have been merrily collecting Susan for three years now and to put it simply I love her work.  Most of you know that I make spun cotton ornaments but I feel a bit odd about displaying my own creations.  So in the nick of time along came Susan and her truly spectacular holiday ornaments.   I now have over 19 pieces in my collection and each year I add a few more.

My favorites are of course the Christmas decorations though I do have some other pieces that I display thoughout the year in my home.  Susan is an artist and uses mostly vintage and antique pieces when making her often one of a kind creations.

Be sure to go to her Etsy shop and take a look at some of the goodies that are left they never last for long and many a time I have been pipped at the post when trying to buy something for myself.  You can hear teeth grinding and sobbing when this happens.

I will show you some more of my Christmas decorating another day but until then feast your eyes on Susan's creations.  She is one of Ety's best kept secret's, oops I think I have let the cat out of the bag!!!

BEFORE AND AFTER......

BEFORE

AFTER

I was inspired by a friend of mine to show you a before and after shot of one of my antique postcards.  This wonderful old postcard is French and I fell in love with the beautiful cupid.  I suppose the fact that Christmas will soon be upon us and then before we know it, it will be Valentines Day.  I know, I know, maybe I am rushing things a bit here.

There is a growing group of fellow lady digital graphic artists and I just happened to pop over to the blog site of a very talented lady Rebecca at http://www.rebecca-gatheryeroses.blogspot.com/ and loved her before and after.  Make sure to visit her truly beautiful blog.

I myself can be very spotty in regards to blogging and should really be more diligent in my endevours.  Maybe this should be a New Years resolution.  Or just one of many!

Still I hope that you enjoy seeing this before and after for more of my digital artwork visit my etsy strore http://www.etsy.com/shop/fadedtatteredroses.

I look forward to you visiting, have a wonderful holiday season, Maureen......
